Super Bowl sunday was a interesting day.  I was supposed to spend it with a companion from Sherman, Lori.  But she has been really flaky lately.  She broke up with her boyfriend a month ago, and since then hasn’t been around much.  Since she didn’t confirm, I made plans with Jen.  Jen is 44, divorced and is from Mckinney.  She also broke up with her boyfriend recently.  She wanted to get out and become socially active again.   So we decided once again to meet at Boston’s to watch the game.  We met at 430pm.

It was a interesting evening, because the last time i saw Jen was at my birthday party a few months ago.  We sat at the bar next to another couple who was very friendly.  Conversation was very smooth, and we began to flirt also.  It started with small things, like touching each others arms, leg, and even holding hands.  We’ve always had good chemistry, but there are 2 things that left both of us frustrated with the other.  Yes, I’m sure you want to know… She always said I never wanted to go out.  But in reality of it is, at the time she told me she didn’t drink.  So, I never invited her out because I enjoyed going out for drinks.  (major problem)  My problem with her was… I have a total dislike for body hair and it is a major turn off.  She was very clear that she didn’t want to shave her bikini area.  So because of this, we didn’t get too far in dating, but have remained friends.

So we spent most of the evening just keeping each other company and appearing as a couple.  Actually it was a very enjoyable evening. In some ways, I’m sure it was a safe and fulfilling time for her.  Just being able to have a male companion that she was comfortable with.  Someone to make her feel wanted, give her attention, with out going thru the getting to know stage of meeting someone new.

And to top it off… the NY Giants beat the New England Patriots!  Since I’m a die hard Cowboys fan and my team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, I had to cheer for the NFC anyway.
