Monday evening was the final day of the long St Patrick’s Day weekend.  Everyone was trying to make plans for their final green beer of the year.  I received several emails and text messages from a lot of friends going out to the Irish pubs.  So I decided to meet LJ36 for a couple green beers at a local Irish pub.  The pub so was crowded we had to share a table with another couple.  We didn’t know them until we sat down.  We all began to drink green beer and get to know each other.  The couple worked together at Bear Stearns.  They were in the drinking mood, because of the financial turmoil their company has experienced in the last 72 hours.   LJ36 seemed very relaxed and happy.

This was the 1st time I’ve seen her since we met a couple weeks ago.  I’ve been interested in LJ36, but her schedule has been busy with kids, work, and church activities.  I didn’t pursue her much because I knew she was busy.  I spent most of the next 2 hours with my hand on her leg, talking about reggae music and the people around us.  There was a slow motion moment.  I leaned closer, since I couldn’t hear.  In a brief shared moment it turned into a kiss.  It almost seemed like a planned move, but it was purely by accident.  I’m sure she didn’t mind.  It caught both of us off guard.  It wasn’t a “get a room” type of kiss, but it was a gentle kiss that said, “I’m into you”.

With such a large social event, it allowed us to people watch.  We both commented on the same thing.  I noticed the women that smile and make eye contact get the most attention from the men.  It didn’t really matter what both parties look like, they get the most attention.  Something as simple as a flirty smile could make a man get up and say hi.  I found this flirting game to be amusing.  Personally, I’ve always been attracted to women with great smiles, dynamic eyes and charming personalities.  LJ36 has those qualities.  LJ36 is the type of woman who is comfortable with herself.  She doesn’t show any signs jealousy.  I can tell she enjoys being a parent, but also wants to have a few quality hours to spend with a guy.  I can’t tell if she wants our relationship to develop into a full time one.  It will be interesting to get to know her better.  Around 9pm she had to leave.  I gave her a kiss and a big hug good-bye.  I decided to meet a group of friends at another local restaurant, BJ’s.  It was a small group of us, but a much quieter place than the pub.  I had a beer and pasta.  Of course, the conversation turned towards dating.  I guess that’s what single people talk about most.  We talk about work, sports, movies, travel, friends and then DATING.  I’m not sure if women are worst than men, but it’s always about a date.  I will say the gossip is entertaining.  The one thing I will admit, dating is a game.  It’s a game for all parties involved.  Some win and some lose.  Even though, I write about my dating, I hope to win someday.
