She’s not over him

Tuesday was a good day.? I finally made plans to meet MD36.? MD36 is 36yr divorced woman.? She’s 5’1″ tall, long blond hair, green eyes, and medium build.? She has 3 children.? She lives east of Dallas, but works in Plano.? She decided to come over after work instead of going home?first.? It’s been?raining for the last few hours, so I talked to her while she was driving here.? MD36 was more attractive than her pictures.? I was truly suprised.? She has dated black men most of her life.? Some of her experiences good and some of them not so good.? not over I found out she’s been single for the last month.? But,?her situation is odd.? She has only lived in?the?Dallas area for?a couple?years.? She’s had a boyfriend most of that time.? Her ex-boyfriend is still around.??He is over 10yrs older than her.? They attend the same church, they live in the?same?neighborhood, and they have the same friends.? She admits they still talk?and he still helps her.? Evidently, he told her she deserved better and someone who would give her the type of commitment she wants.??None of this bothers me.? We all have issues that we need to deal?with.? Sometimes past relationships take a while to get over.? The part that bothers me the most is, she is attempting to date before she’s ready.? I know she has to move on with her life, but I believe that will be?difficult if?she still?hopes?her past?relationship will mend itself.? I could list several?reasons why she?needs to get over him.? She will achieve?a new sense of freedom when she does.? MD36 spent about 90 minutes talking to me and watching the Dallas Mavericks game.? We’ve made plans to go out this weekend.? I know emotionally she’s not ready for a relationship, but we both agree we can be friends.? She wants to expand her horizons and become socially active in Dallas with new friends.? I can help her with those goals.? I know everyone I meet won’t be a love connection.? Actually, most of the women?will be friends.??
