Thursday night was a busy night. I originally made plans to meet MA41 after work. That worked out well because my friend Nigel wanted to go out too. So, I called MA41 and arranged to meet her at starbucks in Plano. It was close to where I was going in Addison. MA41 is divorced with adult children. She’s from Oklahoma and has been in the Dallas area for a couple years. She’s 5′6″ tall, thin build, and medium blond hair. I don’t think I’ve met anyone as thin as her in a long time. I bet she was a size 2. That didn’t really bother me. Her style of dress was country. I don’t mean that in a bad way. I mean she dressed in ropers and boots. The reality is she’s a really nice girl. She’s a simple girl at heart. She enjoys cooking, music, karaoke, and playing darts. I know she likes all kinds of music besides country. We talked about going to Red River to country dance. She’s out of practice, so I would have to practice with her. We spent about a hour together. I’m sure I will go out with her again, because she’s so relaxed. As we were leaving she told me, ‘thanks for looking like your pictures’. I had to laugh. Of course we discussed the horror stories of people that don’t look like their pictures. And we got a good laugh, when I told her I didn’t look 5′11″.
I left her and met Nigel at Sullivan’s. Thursday is ladies night and they have live jazz music. We didn’t stay there long, it wasn’t the type of crowd we were looking for. So, I suggested Blue Fish Sushi. This was the right choice. Within 10 seconds of walking in there, I met eyes with 3 beautiful women. Nigel also liked the view. We ordered beer, and began to talk. I ended up meeting a woman by the name of Ionica. She was there with her friend. She overheard us talking about dating. She was in her 20’s, a little over weight, and social. It seems she was jealous of the attention her friend was receiving from another guy at the bar.
Nigel and I left to go to Memphis. They have one of my favorite bands playing, Professor D. I called Sk36, one of my good friends to meet us there. She was leaving the gym, but wanted to get out for a while also. Nigel and I ate a bowl of gumbo next door while we waited for her to arrive. Now this is where the evening turns into a circus show. As we walked to the bar in Memphis, I noticed a blond sitting at the bar. It was BV44. BV44 is a woman I went out with a couple years ago. She was extremely nice and even asked me if I had a girlfriend. After a brief conversation, I turned around to see Michelle45. I went out with her 5 years ago. We went on a couple dates, and then I realized she was too high maintenance. It ended abruptly. Well she must have spotted me before I noticed her, because she walked right by me with out even looking at me. Both women had gained a considerate amount of weight and they didn’t look happy. I couldn’t believe it! What are the chances of two of them in the same place. Well, it wasn’t over. There was one other woman that I knew there. We chatted previously through a dating service, but never met in person. She was across the bar looking right at me. OH DEAR LORD! How many more are there in here tonight! Well of course SK36 and Nigel thought this was funny. At some point I laughed too, but maybe I need to move to another city. She looked great. She was there with her girl friend. I didn’t approach her because I was in total overload. I know where she hangs out, so I’m sure I’ll see her another day. I made the best of the night. I had fun with my friends, listened to a great band, and did plenty of people watching. My night ended quietly. I went home alone around 1215am, thankful I’m still single.
