I waited a couple days to post this because my thoughts were not clear enough to write. Thursday evening I had dinner with MC31. She text me and wanted me to join her for sushi at Fujiyama. After our last experience there, she wanted to go back. We agreed to meet after work, 530pm. That worked out well, I was having a stressful work week and I needed the break. She and I greeted with a hug. I order my usual Volcano Roll and she ordered the Dallas Stars Roll.
Absolutely, positively delicious! I haven’t seen her for almost 2 weeks. I’d been sick for a few days and then with work I was out of the loop. During our conversation I she revealed to me that she decided to pursue a relationship with a long time friend. I wasn’t shocked. As everyone knows, I don’t engage in the chase. I know she wanted to be pursued and that’s not one of my habits.

Sex in the City is one of the best HBO dramas of all time. Of course, that’s my opinion. It’s comes second only because the Soprano’s is #1 on my list. After years of speculation and waiting the movie is finally here. Just watching the commercials for the movie reminds me of why I watched this show. Well when you have a show that involves 2 of my 3 addictions, I start to wonder if I need rehab.

In Part One, I discussed white women dating black men from a dating preference perspective, but what about those women who do a 180 in their dating preferences and begin dating black men when everything in their value system and background would lead you to believe they would never date one? Maybe a girl who was raised in an extremely racist family or one who grew up in the Deep South where interracial dating has been frowned upon for years or even one who was raised in the conservative Midwest where interracial dating is just not something you see every day. How does that girl end up dating black men?

For all you that don’t know, I’m going to meet LisaQ from 40’s Singleness the last weekend of June. She’s going to be in Dallas and I’ve got the privilege of weekend date with her. Click here to get more details. The last couple weeks of conversation with LisaQ, aka LQ45, has been lots of fun. She has a great sense of humor. I usually spend most of the time laughing. Living in Kansas is so much different from living in a large city like Dallas. One thing that most of you probably don’t know about me is, I lived in western Kansas for 14 months.

Recently I had the chance to visit a website that rates online dating sites. All of my friends and regular readers realize that I sometimes use dating sites to meet people. It’s convienent, simple and available 24 hours a day. I’m always amazed when I meet people who think online dating is a scam. It’s not.

Eathan asked me to write a guest post and pretty much gave me free reign, but I thought it would be interesting to write on a topic of his choice. Of course, his topic of choice was interracial dating specifically what drives women who have not dated a black man to do so…especially exclusively. To give you an idea of the prevalence of interracial dating in the US, here are some interesting stats that I found clicking around the web. 40% of Americans have dated outside their race. While that is almost half, I was somewhat surprised that the number isn’t higher. I also found some interesting stats on black men dating white women in particular.

Well it’s been over 6 months since I’d spoken to KG35. KG35 and I have dated off and on for over a year previously. I use the word date casually. It’s consisted of us going for drinks, maybe getting something eat and always ended up spending the night together. Recently, We began to talk after I sent her a Happy Mother’s Day message. This interaction has lead to us planning to meet for drinks. Today was that day.

There has always been a great debate over who pays on a date. Should it always be the man? Is it wrong for a woman to pay? I have my own opinion which is why I usually make first meetings simple. I frequent Starbucks or a local happy hour to keep things simple. Yes, I do pay. Even the first time I met TW39, I did pay. We enjoyed a steak dinner. But depending on the situation and the person this could vary.
