Have you ever had a phone conversation with someone and automatically decided that you had no desire to meet them?  I had that experience recently.  I’ve been chatting with PM45 for a couple days on messenger.  This seemed to be fairly normal.  I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.  So I decided to take things to the next level, phone conversation.  I didn’t get around to talking to her right away, it took me 2 days before I actually called her.  My initial response to her was OK.  It took about 5 minutes into the conversation when I began to realize that she was irritating me.  PM45 was talking endlessly.  She never took a breath between sentences.  I’m not even sure how she could talk so long with out breathing.  I got a chance to say a few words every now and then.  I was turned off because she was over powering and didn’t listen well.  Well before I knew it we decided to get together for drinks.  Maybe it was just me being curious or bored.  I’m not exactly sure what it was.  But I agreed and invited her over.

Last night I got a text from SI40.  She finally made it back from vacation in the Caribbean. I got the infamous, ‘I’m back’ text.  We’ve been texting about our plans for the last couple days.  I was a bit shocked for the last few days.  Why?  The 1st date was a fun date.  We had great conversation and spent some time alone at her place.  I didn’t think I impressed her.  Well to be honest, I figured she had the day after blues.  We didn’t have sex, but we did have a good time.  I even called her a couple days later just to wish her a fun trip.  She seemed polite but not really interested.  Maybe she was just distracted with her final trip check list.  So when she began to text me I was surprised that I was still on her mind.  I guess I did something right.

Saturday afternoon I decided to drive to Ft. Worth to see TW40.  Yeah I drove 42 miles one way just to see what it feels like to drive to go on a date.  I must say it sucks!  I can promise my readers and myself I won’t be doing it again.  It’s not because I didn’t have a good time.  It’s because it’s too far.  So anyway, I arrived in the TCU area of Ft. Worth around 1pm.  TW40 and I planned just to have lunch and relax.  When I arrived at her place, she was standing outside waiting for me in the driveway.

The Texas heat finally got to me yesterday.  KT35 invited me to go swimming.  I was pleasantly surprised and I accepted.  When I arrived at the pool the kids were having fun.  KT35 was sitting poolside reading a book and enjoying the weather.  We began to discuss the story line of her book, Change of Heart.  It’s a very interesting idea, but of course that what fictional books are intended for.  After spending a couple hours at the pool, her kids asked her if I was going to have dinner with them.  I hope I didn’t look surprised, but I was.

Eathan, How do you feel about allowing a woman to pay for you at the bar or out for drinks? I ask because I have a close friend who *refuses* to allow me to pay for him. He “Doesn’t want to be the black man at the bar that people see letting the white woman pay for his drinks” And it’s not that he won’t let me pay it’s that he wont allow other people to see me pay.  Is this what other women run into?  Thanks, QB
