And a “friend with benefits” is your friend first, and you do all the things that friends do, like hang out and chill and talk, and occasionally, you also fuck. But that might just be my personal definitions.

eathan July 15, 2008 at 9:02 pm: Well that would depend on how strict you are with your requirements. Some follow don’t hang out rules..while others want to hang out some.. and if no other options are available.. go with the FWB.
Lance July 15, 2008 at 9:24 pm: I always thought they were synonymous, althought SC1’s definition makes since. Honestly, I’ve had FB’s before and I always did the friendy stuff with them and not just the sex. That’s probably just me. I actually like playing boyfriend, at least for a few hours.

I think there should be another definition. There is a difference between FB and FWB for sure.

Fuck Buddy: Someone that caters to your particular sexual needs or fetishes. You probably are not able to maintain or openly acknowledge any type of relationship with this person. The sex is usually “discreet” i.e. he’s married, or she’s 300lbs, or he’s 50 and she’s 18, or she likes black c*ck but doesn’t want her friends or family to know….lol.

Friends With Benefits: You are friends first, neither of you have a exclusive relationship with anyone or each other and on occassion you hook up, no strings attached. The emphasis is on the friends part.
