Yesterday it wasn’t too hot in Dallas.  It was actually a bit cooler than it has been.  It was down to a mere 99 degrees.  After spending most of the day inside watching movies with my kids, we decided to go swimming.  KT35 and I had been messaging most of the day, so I invited her to join me poolside.  I figured that would be a good way to introduce a new face amidst all the other people at the pool.  She thought that would be a great idea and accepted my invitation.  I thought we would be at the pool for a few hours, but after a hour the kids attention shifted to playing video games.  By the time KT35 arrived we were inside.  The boys were playing video games and I was cooking.  I walked outside to meet her.  I gave her a kiss and a hug.  I walked her inside and introduced her to the kids.  In normal boy fashion, they barely even raised their heads up from the big screen.  Of course, I made them stop the game to speak and say hi.  KT35 and I laughed, because this is totally different from her kids.  Mine stay focused on games and hers pay close attention to their company.  Just typical for my boys.  They want to know is this going to affect me playing football this season or does this mean I can’t play XBox 360?

So KT35 and I was in the living room watching TV.  We decided to watch the movie Hitch.  It gave us a chance to sit and talk.  We ended up laughing at some of the things that men and women do on 1st dates.  Naturally, we talked about our 1st date.  The one where we drank wine at 2am on the patio.  During the movie we held hands and snuggled on the sofa.  For the next 90 minutes we just relaxed undisturbed from the boys.  We stopped the movie a couple times just because we got into discussions about several of the movie topics.  Mainly how men meet a woman and don’t know exactly how to approach them.  That’s a topic that is too much to discuss in one sitting.  Anyway, after watching Hitch, we decided to watch another movie.  The movie of choice was, Must Love Dogs.  Amazingly, she’s never seen it before.  We watched this movie with the same intent as the previous one.  During the movie we discussed our past relationship mistakes and what lead to their demise.  The one thing that I found out about KT35 is that her children want/desire a male presence in their life.  They have their father, but they have verbally made it known that they want Mom to have a man.  Her biggest challenge is teaching them happiness doesn’t revolve around a man.  In some ways I feel for her children.  Divorce has been very difficult experience for them.

After watching the movies, she spent the next few minutes touching my face.  She likes my goatee and doesn’t think I should shave it off.  She wanted to stay the night, but didn’t want to while I had my boys.  So I told her we’d work it out over the next two weekends.  KT35 seems to be moving forward with caution.  I walked her out to her car about 1230am.  I gave her a passionate kiss.  The night ended way to soon, but we were both tired.
