Earlier this week, I listened to a radio show that discussed the concept of manscaping.? The two male talk show hosts laughed at the idea, but it’s no laughing matter.? For everyone that doesn’t know what manscaping is, The Urban Dictionary defines it as -
“A term used to define male grooming below the belt. A male can use both an electric razor or a regular razor. A Mach 3 is preferable with the ladies on the testicular area. No female likes to deal with hairy balls, so men must education themselves on proper manscaping and maintenance techniques.”
First of all, let me say that I can’t imagine using a Mach 3 for shaving my testicular area.? (my balls twitch at that thought)? That’s a bit too close for comfort.? I prefer using a very steady hand with a special electric razor or a trusted date.
I continued to listen to the radio show discussion, because it also got the women involved.? Women called in to give their opinion on if a man should take care of his manscape.? The female callers shared many thoughts, but the one thing they agreed on is manscaping is a necessity.? Women expressed that in 2008, they enjoy a man that takes care of their grooming and hygiene.? I’m not sure what they would have done in the 1960′s when going Au Natural was fashionable.
The reason why I bring up this subject is because I hate body hair on women.? As many of you know, I mention this to a potential date as soon as possible.? I believe in shaving, waxing, and laser hair removal as much as I believe in the thong.? Of course, I have selfish reasons for this.? And they all involve my 5 senses.
As I think about my ex’s, they all shaved it off.? I can count on one hand how many of the white women that didn’t shave.? Actually, I remember one woman from Alaska that was Au Natural.? As soon as I found out, I couldn’t get physical.? I was no longer attracted.? And there was one other that maintained a very nicely manicured landing strip.? The landing strip was temporarily accepted, because she was very attractive.
This now brings me to the thought of my normal IDW question.? It’s been years since I’ve been physical with a black woman, I’m wondering if the practice of shaving it all off is a ethnic trend.? I’m sure that swimsuit models, entertainers, and actresses shave.? I’m curious does the regular black woman shave?
I asked a couple black women if they trim or shave.? They said they trim, but will shave if their man would like them to shave it off.? The black men I asked, said that most black women trim, but they should shave more often.? If this applies to the majority of black women, there is major difference from the white women. (under 40ish)? From my experience, white women remain groomed even if they don’t have a man in their life.
So I’m curious, is the practice of shaving done based on your ethnicity or is it truly a preference?? Do you shave and do you want your partner shaved?
