Over the years I’m comfortable getting strange looks from people who see me with beautiful white women. ?I laugh because I can almost read their mind when they look at me and my date. ?It’s the ‘how did you get her’ look. ?And if you know me personally, it’s the ‘how the hell did ya meet her’ look. ?Well, last Saturday night I was introduced to a new look. ?It was a look that I’ve never noticed before. ?It’s hard to describe it, but I can tell you what happened and I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
Saturday I got a phone call from FA40. ?She invited me to meet her and a couple friends out for drinks. ?Since it has been almost 6 months since I’ve seen her, I was happy to go. ?We decided on going to Jasper’s in the Shops of Legacy. ?Jasper’s is a good place to go. ?It’s located in a trendy part of town and there’s lots of fun places for the night.
I arrived early. ?As I watched the crowd, I noticed the cultural blend. ?There were people of different ages, races and ethnic backgrounds. ?I also noticed several interracial couples eating dinner. ?Mostly black men with white women. ?But when FA40 arrived, it changed the interracial couple ratio.
FA40 arrived and looked great. ?She’s 5’0″ tall, petite, long black hair and she’s Indian. ?Not American or Native American Indian. ?I’m talking the kind of Indian that is from India. ?She’s a very beautiful modern Indian woman. ?I’m sure you want to know what she was wearing. ?Well she was wearing a low cut and sexy black blouse. ?It showed off her shoulders and her back. ?She had on the sexiest skinny jeans and high heels. ?And when I say she has a wow factor, she stops a room when she walks in.
FA40 and I were there with another friend. ?We had a drink or two at Jasper’s before deciding to walk to a few blocks to Rah. ?As we begin our walk, FA40 had her arm wrapped around my arm. ?I noticed a few Indian Americans walking by. ?They weren’t dressed in traditional cloths, just regular jeans and shirts. ?But the look on their face was priceless. ?The seemed shocked to see one of their own women with a black man. ?I just smiled and kept walking.
FA40 joked how they are probably wondering what went wrong. ?She didn’t mind the looks at all. ?She openly talks about not dating within her race.
Once we arrived at Rah, I ran into another friend of mine. ?I haven’t seen him in almost a year. ?He and I talked for a couple minutes. ?But he seemed distracted by FA40. ?He looked at me for an introduction. ?After I introduced him, he just shook his head. ? He didn’t know what to say.
But he managed to say, “I thought you only date white.”
I had to laugh and say, “I’ve gone International.”
With all the looks from other women, I wonder if this will open up other dating opportunities within the international community.
Even though RA40 and I aren’t dating, it made me wonder a few things. ?Are there many Indian/black couples? ?I know there aren’t many in Texas. ?Is there a reason why I haven’t dated an Indian woman previously? ?Will I experience any backlash from the Indian community? ?Or is this just another case of beautiful woman with Eathan?
