It’s been a while, but I was a high school freshman once. I was the new kid at a new school. I had a lot of new friends and plenty of new teachers. One of my classes was across the hall from a cheerful and young teacher. Even though I wasn’t in her class, I made an impression. How much of an impression I wouldn’t know until a couple weeks ago.
A couple weeks ago, I got an email on one of my favorite online social sites. The email was brief. It was from an attractive blond. Naturally I was interested in her. We sent several emails back and forth and eventually we talked on the phone a few days later. Immediately she said I sounded like she imaged. I could hear the warning bells going off in my head, but something said relax. We kept talking and we had several things in common. She’s divorced with adult kids. And she’s been living in Dallas for a couple years. She mentioned that she travels 70% because of her work. Eventually we discussed the places we’ve lived. That’s when things began to come together.
That’s when we realized that we lived in the same area for about 14 months. I was in high school and she was new college graduate. She took a temporary job at the local high school as a substitute teacher. And since I was one of the few black students, she remembered me. She was a substitute English teacher for 5 months at my school. And I’m shocked and turned on. Isn’t it every 14 yr old boy fantasy to have a hot sex scene with the hottest teacher in school? Am I going to have a fantasy fulfilled years later? Too bad I can’t remember who she is.
After our conversation, I got on Facebook. I contacted a couple classmates. They remembered her, I didn’t. They tried to refresh my memory. So after some deep thinking, I still couldn’t remember who she was. I remember where her class room was. I remember the students in her class, but I don’t remember her.
Am I the only one that gets a weird feeling about meeting her? I know it’s not ok to date your teacher when you’re in school, but would this make my next class reunion strange? Should I date her? Or should I avoid her?
