A couple months ago I had what I’ve described as a Interracial Sex Nightmare. I went out with someone, had unprotected sex with them and she informed me the next morning she had Herpes (not the healthy kind). As a result of this event, I wrote about it. I wanted to share the experience with you my readers and I also wrote about it on another site (which I legally can’t mention at this time).
I’ve used this experience as a way to warn others, educate and discuss some of the issues this event created. So far that part has been a success. I’ve had detailed discussions with friends near and far about my Interracial Sex Nightmare. Now the nightmare doesn’t end there. The saga continues because the woman who attempted to give me “the gift that keeps on giving” has made a formal complaint to the local police department. Yes, you’ve heard right.
A few weeks ago I had a visit from the local internet task force. I was read my Miranda rights. I was served with a search warrant and I was arrested. The task force confiscated a couple computers and searched my home. At the time of their visit, Dirt Bike Boy was home with me. They were gracious enough to allow him to go to a neighbors home, so he didn’t know what was going on. And Dirt Bike Boy still doesn’t know what happened.
While I was home, the officers allowed me to make a few phone calls. Of course I called my attorney, Dirt Bike Boy’s mother and a close friend. Within a few minutes my immediate legal issues were addressed and I was ready for the judicial system to begin working. Going forward I’m only going to be able to speak of a few things and leave the rest for when this legal issue is closed.
I spent a few days in the Collin County Jail. I’m not ashamed to admit it. When I was released from the Collin County Jail, Dirt Bike Boy and his mother picked me up. While riding in the car and running errands, I then told the ex about my interracial sex nightmare. Since there was a man that was convicted of spreading HIV to unsuspecting women in our area a couple years ago, she was concerned. I assured her I was physically ok. But that concern turned into anger. She was angry that a woman would put another persons health at risk.
As it turns out the property management company (Western Rim) that my ex works for also owns the apartment complex that my interracial sex nightmare lives at. On a side note, Dirt Bike Boy’s sister works for Western Rim and another long time family friend works her apartment complex. They all know me, Dirt Bike Boy and the family. So now my story is known by all the people working at her apartment complex and so many more in the local area. Of course, they want to know who this person is and since I’m only restricted by what I can write online… I’ve been very vocal about who she is.
In the near future, I will post any and all information regarding my legal battle. I’m working on getting the search warrant and arrest warrant for the site.
Here are the most common questions that I’ve been asked.
Q. What is crime you’re being charged with?
A. I’m being charged with Online/Internet Harassment, which is a class C felony in the State of Texas.
Q. Are you out of jail on bond?
A. Yes, I had to post a $10k ($10,000.00) dollar bond and hire a very expensive attorney.
Q. Will the conditions of your bond affect your work?
A. Yes. Mostly it affects what I can and can’t write about the woman who filed the complaint.
Q. Since you’re a blogger, isn’t this protected by your right to Freedom of Speech?
A. I believe it is. Although my lawyer, myself and others aren’t clear on what the District Attorney’s office feels is a crime related to this issue.
Q. How are you working if they took your computers.
A. I’m thankful to a few good friends that have loaned me equipment, so that I can attempt to work until my computers are returned. We’re hopeful that I will get them back with in a month or two.
So as I mention previously, I am changing my time schedule on when I write about events. I know that my blog is being watched. But I will surround myself and the boys with close friends that we can trust.
