Biracial Hair Products

by Eathan

I constantly get emails from white women with biracial children wanting to get answers regarding taking care of their kids hair.  Before the day of online shopping, women relied on family members, co-workers or Sally’s Beauty Supply for hair products and tips.  And that is still helpful,  but with the increasing numbers of interracial relationships and the internet, word has spread quickly regarding a few products.  So I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few sites that offer products for bi-racial kids with kinky (nappy) hair.

Of course I’m listing these in no particular order and without any financial obligation.

  • Blended Beauty – Boasts all of their products are formulated with naturally derived ingredients and are between 98%-99% natural.  Based in Ontario Canada,

  • Curls – Based in Elk Grove CA, it is a premium, ethnic hair care company whose purpose is to deliver quality products that cater to the unique needs of today’s multi-ethnic market. It is the first line of hair care products truly created specifically for biracial/multiracial women and girls with naturally curly hair

    The Naturally Me For Kids (Bare Mineral Indulgence) products are excellent on my biracial daughters hair. They have a larger selection and are more moisturizing then a lot of other lines I've tried. The Girly Curly treatment gives my daughter the cutest and shinest curls. http://baremineralindulgence.com/
  • Hi there,

    Our website http://www.razzamatazz.net offers, what we believe, is the best products for biracial hair. We've been around since 1998 and we're small and much less known than other leading brands, but our customers swear by our products, check out the testimonials on our site.

    Your site is great and I read regularly.

    You need to point these moms towards;
    http://www.happygirlhair.com/
    http://beadsbraidsbeyond.blogspot.com/

    Both have great info about curly girls hair styles and how to take care of African American/Biracial hair. Doesn't matter what products you buy, you will need to know what to do with them. Hope that helps.
  • I had someone just let me know 2 other sites -

    http://www.missjessies.com
    http://www.oyinhandmade.

    Add them to your list.
  • I'd also highly recommend mixed chicks. The conditioner is kinda pricey, but it works great on my daughters really long curly hair http://www.mixedchicks.net/ (you can see pics of her on the website link with my name above :)
