Living in a house with seven crazies can make for a hard time to find true friends. However, lucky for me I was able to live with Jemmeye, one of the craziest new faces on television. This chick is down with the get down, whether its time to party, drink, dance, hoop, whatever it may be. Our biggest similarity in taste is when it comes to that of a tall, athletic, black man. Some call it our weakness, we call it our way. I caught up with Jemmeye for a few minutes and asked her a little bit more about her dating history.

Hometown – Starkville Mississippi.
Ashlee: We all know you prefer a nice, dark man…what is it about a black man that is so attractive to you?
Jemmeye: I think it’s the confidence thing mixed with the swag and the attitude. Black men come at you in a different way then white men do. To me a black man offers much for a challenge. White men will easily settle down, most black men fight it until they can’t anymore. Plus, I have a thing for athletes, like you, and they are most commonly tall, black men.
Ashlee: Have you ever dealt with prejudice being that you’re from the south?
Jemmeye: Pretty much every time I go out in public with a black man I can feel eyes on me. The comments and eyes are not only from white people but from black people as well, it has never been one sided. As I have gotten older the stares and comments have bothered me less and less, ignorance is everywhere not just in Mississippi.
Ashlee: In the last episode you handed over your “white boy V card” to one of our roommates, is this a permanent change?
Jemmeye: I think I’m going to stick to white for now, he may be the only exception to the rule. I will say that I am now more open minded to all man but black men will always be my preference. I just can’t help it.
Ashlee: So can a white man uphold the black man stigma or is the saying true once you go black you can never go back?
I have only been with and met one white man that can hold up to most of the black men I have dated. To be honest I have doubts about all the rest of the white men, I think Knight is a special case.
Ashlee: Who is the sexiest black man alive and why?
Jemmeye: Terrell Owens. He is exactly the type of guy I am attracted to. He is tall, dark, and handsome plus he has the body. He stays portraying that I don’t care type of attitude but you can tell he does deep down. I am always up for a challenge! His show makes him even sexier because it proves he is a softie underneath the hard exterior.
Faith Hill said it best, “Cause a Mississippi girl don’t change her ways just cause everybody knows her name.” Jemmeye does what she wants when she wants. She may be a country girl at heart, but her actions are quite contrary to a southern bell.
