As much as I date, there are things that don’t make any sense to me at all. I was told, “don’t apply logic to something which is emotional.” I guess that must be the answer. Over the last 5 years, I’ve met countless divorced women who want a relationship. Some where during the relationship, they want to get married. I tried it once. OK twice and it still doesn’t make sense to me. I’m not opposed to marriage, but I’m opposed to fix what isn’t broken.

Dating and STD’s

Over the last year I don’t think I’ve ever addressed this issue. I have to admit this issue is one the concerns most single people and some married people too. If you haven’t been affected by this, someone you know has been. As a single guy that dates and enjoys a healthy sexual appetite, I have to be careful with my sexual partner(s). I take the necessary precautions. I invest in Magnums and get tested on a regular basis.

Adopting Outside Your Race

When you think of adopting a underprivileged child, you usually hear of some celebrity couple importing kids like Honda imports cars. A few months ago, I had a discussion with some friends about adoption. They wanted to know if it was acceptable for a white family to adopt a black child. Personal opinions were over shadowed by the needs of the children. It’s not a matter of taking them away from their culture or detaching them everything they identify with. It’s much more than that.

The Adventures of Dirt Bike Boy Update

One of the biggest challenges that divorced parents deal with during a crisis is uniting. As many of you know, I’ve been very busy and overwhelmed with Dirt Bike Boy in the last week. He’s been sick and in the hospital for the last week. After a couple days of tests and complications, we found out that he had a ruptured appendix. The doctors performed an emergency surgery in the middle of the night.

IDW Person Of The Year 2008

Over the last few weeks I’ve thought about who would be the Idatewhite Person of the Year. The IDW Person of the Year should be someone who embraces interracial relationships and a multicultural lifestyle. The easy nomination would be Barack Obama. He’s biracial, multicultural and is in the news daily. The only problem I have with that is, it’s too easy. So I thought about it and I decided to go in a different direction.

New Year’s Eve

I gave up going to the bars on New Years Eve along time ago. I’ve always figured there’s no reason to pay extra money for the same old thing I can get every other night of the year. I don’t want to pay $20-$80 cover just because it’s New Years Eve. So as usual, I will welcome the new year with friends. I’ve had several invitations for New Years Eve.

Top Biracial Musicians Of 2008

As 2008 winds down, Alpha Boy and I was talking about some of the hottest songs of the year. I was amazed to know that outside of his normal obsession for rap, he mentioned a few biracial musicians/singers. I thought about it and they all have one thing in common. They had a very successful year in music. I’m not sure if it’s because their life experiences are diversified or if it’s because they have mass appeal to our culture. Either way they are talented, beautiful and made 2008 a great year to sing and dance to. He and I came up with this list based off popularity and accomplishments.

The Adventures of Dirt Bike Boy - Hospital Edition

The Adventures Of Dirt Bike Boy continue. It all started on Christmas day. Dirt Bike Boy woke up briefly to open presents. Then he vomited and went back to sleep. Like most parents, we thought it was just exhaustion or the flu. For the next 24 hours, he didn’t wake up, eat or even move much. So he went to the doctor for some meds, but they didn’t help any. We eventually headed to the hospital ER.
