The last few days have been turbulent for some of the most prominent and visible celebrities.? It started with Michael Phelps being in the news for an Olympic sized bong hit.? Saturday it shifted to A – Rod, aka Alex Rodriguez, admitting to using steroids.? Sunday rumors of Chris Brown assaulting singer Rihanna before the Grammys.? Like most parents, I’ve read some of the news stories.? Instead of hiding the news from my boys, I’ve used it to address issues on manhood.

2008 Beijing Olympics

Well the last couple weeks I’ve been watching the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.? Like everyone else in the sports world, I’ve been amazed by Michael Phelps.? Of course I watch the track and field events.? And in typical Eathan fashion, I notice all the different countries and nationality of the women.? Among all the runners I’ve noticed a few faces.? Lo Lo Jones, a bi-racial woman, is one of my favorites.? I’m heart broken that she stumbled during the hurdles and didn’t get a medal.? I look forward to watching her progress in the future.? I really wanted her to do well.? I’m hoping I see her in some type of TV commercial or magazine advertising.? Next thing I’ve noticed is the beach volleyball games.? I must admit that I’m now a big fan of beach volleyball.? How can you go wrong with a group of tall women?
